Today was an R&R day. The motel we found last night was so pleasant that we decided to stay another day and just chill out. Our hosts recommended a small, family owned winery called Buxton Ridge Winery so we went to check it out. It was truly a charming place far off the beaten path. As there were no signs along the road, we had some difficulty finding it, but we finally did. The proprietor had gone to the Yarra Valley wine festival so his parents were taking care of the winery. They were a delightful couple who had spent time in the states and we had a great time rehashing travel stories. They also provided us with lots of good tips for things to do and see in Melbourne. After sampling their wine, we purchased three bottles, a shiraz, a merlot and a delightful cabernet sauvignon which went very well with our fish and chips dinner.
After dinner, I got to work on the blog pictures which I had fallen far behind with. Out of about 200 photos, I had to select about 30 for the blog, transform them to make them compatible with Word Press and upload them. I’m not sure why, but uploading them takes forever and after about an hour, I finally finished. The last thing we have to do is plot our course for tomorrow. At this time we plan to go to Lang Lang which is alongside Western Port near Port Phillip, VIC. We could take the freeway, but all freeways look alike, so we’ll stick to the back country which is far more interesting.
Cheers,
Wayne & Peggy
