We wondered in and out of the little shops with lots to tempt us. Wayne was able to find his favorite honey made from thistle. Although the quilt shop had lovely things, there was nothing there “we couldn’t afford to refuse” – unlike last year.
From Julian we drove south on CA 79 and stopped at Cuyamaca State Park to wander around and look for pine cones. In his younger days, Wayne climbed a tree to get a huge pinecone. This trip there was no tree climbing and we had to be content with 4 to 5 inch long pinecones. From there we headed to Debbie’s where enjoyed cherry pie from Mom’s Pies – another must stop in Julian. We anticipate tomorrow being quiet day catching up on some correspondence a soaking up a little Vitamin D.
