Today, we said au revoir to Canada until next time. The mountains of Quebec gave way to green fields south of Montreal.
Crossing the border back into the US was a quick and simple process. Since it was a short travel day and daughter Melissa and granddaughter Noel were working, we stayed off the interstates as much as possible.
It’s always pretty driving through the small New England towns. The sunshine and heat found us, and we were most grateful for the car’s air conditioning. We will spend a couple of days here visiting and catching up with the kids. It was my first time meeting great granddaughter Maggie. (Peggy hadn’t seen her since she was 3 weeks old.) She is now 7 months old and very active.
