It’s been a leisurely 3 days just visiting family and chilling out. Today we drove to Kinston, NC to meet up with granddaughter and great granddaughter at the Neuseway Nature Park adjacent to the Neuse River in Kinston.
There, they have a small but delightful museum for children called the Ellis Science and Health Museum. Among its many exhibits is a small planetarium. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to stay for the planetarium exhibit as we were way too early for the first showing.
The park also has a wonderful playground for kids of all ages.
On the way back, we stopped for lunch; followed by a visit to the Simply Natural Creamery near Ormondsville, NC where they have the best ice cream imaginable. It’s an agritourism business in the middle of farm country that makes its money from tourists as well as farm products – somewhat the same concept as the place we stayed in Sienna, Italy except that place combined lodging with farming.
Not much else happening. I worked on a couple of my musings blogs – got one published and hope to get the next one published before we leave. (We’ll see.) We will be here for the next couple of days and will be leaving for Myrtle Beach on Sunday morning.
That’s about it for now.
Best to all,
Wayne & Peggy
