Sadly today we bid adieu to Jacob Lake and the Grand Canyon. It was the second time folding our tent and first time packing up our campsite. We’re still low on the learning curve for that, so it took more time than we thought. The biggest problem was getting the air out of the tent. (Next time, we’ll be sure to leave the windows open.) But as we didn’t have far to go today, it wasn’t a problem. We finally got ourselves together and set off about 11 AM. We had an uneventful but pleasant drive to Camp Verde where we will be visiting friends for the next couple of days.
The beauty of Arizona and the southwest continues to amaze us.
