Day 19, Aug 5: Julian, CA to San Diego, CA

We enjoyed coffee & tea in the gazebo soaking up the beauty of the morning. Following a wonderful breakfast and visit with the owners and another couple from San Diego, We packed up our belongings to head to daughter Deb in San Diego about 1 1/2 hour away. We had to stop at the Miner’s Diner for another ice cream soda which will have to last us until we return on our next trip. We also made a stop at Mom’s Pies, Etc to pick up a cherry pie ( another Julian tradition for us) for dessert when we get to Deb’s place.

It was great to see Deb and hear all about her Habitat for Humanity experience in Trinidad. We will stay with Deb for 1 week enjoying catching up with her and sister-in-law Susan, beer tasting at some of Wayne’s favorite micro breweries, a stroll or two on the beach and just relaxing.
