Today we traveled on mostly state roads through rural Texas. Spring is definitely in full bloom with patches of white, orange, blue, and red wild flowers on the sides of the road. The trees are fully leafed out providing shade.
Wherever we stop, the people are always so friendly. In New Boston a retired fireman liked the bumper sticker that I made: “There is no planet B”. We liked his tee shirt “My wife quilts, I cook.” He offered to have his wife buy one and send it to us! She got it at the Houston Quilt Show, and she goes there every year. (Going there is on Peggy’s bucket list.) We wish we had taken him up on his offer. Then we would have his address to send him a bumper sticker!
Although it was a mostly pleasant drive through small cities and towns, we are saddle sore and were happy to reach our destination and visit with our friends.
