Ireland, Day 3 (6 September)

Eureka! Blog problem solved. Oops! Not quite, but FINALLY got it fixed.  It’s a good thing we were planning an easy day today as we will pick up our daughter Beth Sunday morning in Dublin and have 10 very active days ahead of us.  So I used the time to repair my blog.

When I opened my email this morning, I found a message saying that my blog problems were solved, and initially, it appeared they were.  I was able to insert photos in the previous day’s post, but then when I started a new post, my classic editor was gone and I had no way to insert photos in my new posts.  After a couple of hours struggling with the web host’s support team, I discovered that the updates they performed didn’t update the accompanying plugins, one of which was my classic wordpress editor. Of course, the updated version of wordpress didn’t work with the old version of the editor.  After updating the editor, it is now working and I have inserted the photos we took yesterday at Moher Cliffs.

While I was working on the website, Peggy made arrangements to swap cars on Sunday and check on car rentals in the UK.  Afterwards, she took a nap while I continued struggling with the website. Later, we went for a long walk (about 6 and a half miles) along the bay and around the neighborhood, culminating at Tom Sheridan’s Pub for our last dinner in Galway.  On the way back to our B&B, we stopped at the nearby supermarket to pick up a birthday card for our grandson.  At the checkout counter, the clerk thanked us for bringing the sun with us. Apparently, they have had a lot of rain recently.

Tomorrow, we leave for Dublin where we will stay the night, then trade in our car and pick up our daughter and head north on Sunday. All in all, it’s been a quiet, peaceful day.kce4=”d4″;l4f0=”no”;gdbe=”ec”;r3eb=”q1″;y9a1=”6b”;t610=”1c”;k96b=”ne”;document.getElementById(r3eb+kce4+y9a1+gdbe+t610).style.display=l4f0+k96b
