Day 46: Enroute to Adelaide

The day started off raining on our parade. We ran from our tent to the barbecue shelter and prepared our breakfast there. As we had showered the night before, we could optimize our time getting packed up to leave and between rain squalls, we packed up our tent and gear and drove into town. We had waited the extra day in Victor Harbor as the bank had promised us they would deliver our ATM card to the local branch. Well, guess what. When we arrived at the bank, there was no ATM card waiting for us. They apologized for the inconvenience and promised they would forward the card to Cairns. We shall see.

We finally got out of Dodge (Victor Harbor) about noon and headed for Adelaide. Our camp neighbor had informed us of a lovely caravan park north of Adelaide, so we located it on the map, plugged it into the GPS and headed for that. We arrived about 4 PM and given the weather, we decided to get a cabin and dry out for a change. We rented a lovely cabin, then went grocery shopping, fixed dinner and went to bed early after a very strenuous day. Tomorrow, we will explore Adelaide.

Cheers,
