As we continued our trek westward on Trans Canada Route 1, we crossed into Saskatchewan. The hills have given way to wide open prairie and thousands of acres of canola. The fields are a vibrant yellow with a hint of the green stems below the flower. We are clearly traveling through farm country. In addition to the canola fields, there are fields with large round bails of hay and grain storage facilities. We also saw our first Canadian wind farm in Western Manitoba. As the afternoon continued, we drove out of the clouds and rain into bright sunshine.
Sadly, there’s not much to see or do here, so this will be a very short blog post.
