Well this has definitely been a great week for visiting with friends. (It seems like many of our friends have settled here in central California.) After a quiet day yesterday, visiting with Candy and catching up on the blog, we had dinner with a friend of mine whom I hadn’t seen in years. It was wonderful to visit with her and for Peggy to meet her. Unfortunately, her daughters were busy so we didn’t get to meet them. Hopefully, next time.
Since the temperature had dropped and the sun was setting, we drove back to Candy’s with the top down. It was a glorious evening with a pretty sunset. After gaining hours as we headed west and being so much further north, it’s hard to get used to the sun setting and it getting dark so early.
Before turning in, we watched the 2nd part of “The Crimes of Grindelwald” which seemed totally disconnected from the first part except for some (not all) of the main characters. I was very disappointed as the movie version of the play is more special effects than plot. Unlike the Harry Potter series, this movie jumps from scene to scene without much rhyme or reason and is very hard to follow. Maybe if I read the screenplay, it will make more sense.
After the movie, Peggy and I read a chapter from the novel we are reading (which makes a lot more sense than the movie we watched) and tucked in for the night.
