The plan for today was sampling the wonderful wines in the Walla Walla region. They did not disappoint!
Our first stop was Echolands Winery. The tasting room is newly opened and had absolutely spectacular views both outside the tasting room and inside the tasting room with its floor to ceiling windows. Those views matched the wonderful sights we saw along the way including the Wallula Gap.
On the way back to our friends’ home, we stopped at 2 other wineries , Forgeron and Saviah, where we tasted more excellent wines.
We finished our wonderful day with a delicious home cooked lasagna. Oh, and of course, it would be impossible to have 2 quilters together without a consult about the best way to quilt our hostess’ current work in progress.
After another terrific day, it is time to tuck in and prepare to continue our journey in the morning. No matter how many days we allot for a trip – it is never enough time.
