While we are sorry to say goodbye to our daughters, it is time to resume our travels and head towards home. Because we were unable to visit our friends in Central California, we have a couple of extra days to again visit our friends in Phoenix. 

Our travels today continued to provide us with some interesting views and landscapes. We again passed multiple wind and solar farms. We saw a duststorm and drove through some heavy rain which is much needed here in the southwest. It was the first rain we saw since we were in Phoenix about 2 weeks ago. We were also happy to pay less than $5 for gas. Today in California we saw a sign for gas at $6.19 & diesel at $7.99.
