After days with low temperatures in the 90s, this morning was a lovely relatively cool morning.  At 6 pm, I was reaching for my fleece when I got out of the car!

Today was an uneventful travel day with not much change in scenery. As we approached Sacramento, on our way to Roseville, we passed by many fields of grapes. At one field, it appeared that they were harvesting the grapes.

We had originally planned to stay in Roseville a few days, but were sadly informed of our host’s illness and wouldn’t be able to visit. That resulted in a change of plans (Remember: the first step in a plan is to plan to change the plan.) so after a good night’s rest, we set a new course for wine country.
